Pay a hospital or clinic bill in instalments, not all at once.
Payong is a Malaysian instalment-payment service for medical bills. A patient scans a QR code at the counter, is credit-checked, and repays the bill over a fixed schedule of instalments — while the clinic is settled upfront. Coming to clinics across Malaysia.
Payong Technologies Sdn. Bhd. · registration no. 202101013131 (1413430-V) · our consumer credit licence application is in progress and has not yet been granted.
Scan at the counter, get a credit decision, then repay over a schedule of instalments. Illustrative only — your actual schedule is shown before you confirm anything.
Three steps, from counter to repaid.
The mechanics stay the same regardless of which clinic you're at.
-
01
Scan the QR at the counter
Find the Payong standee at a participating clinic counter and scan the code with your phone to start.
-
02
Credit check, in minutes
Payong runs a credit check and gives you a decision in minutes, using your Malaysian NRIC to verify who you are.
-
03
Pay in scheduled instalments
Once approved, you repay the bill over a fixed number of scheduled instalments from your saved card, while Payong settles the clinic upfront.
What it costs, what you need, and what happens if a payment is missed.
Before you confirm a plan, Payong shows you the complete schedule — every due date and every amount — for that specific bill.
-
What you'll need
A Malaysian NRIC, a debit or credit card, and a phone to scan the QR code and receive updates.
-
What it costs
Each payment plan is agreed between Payong and the clinic issuing your bill, and the exact schedule is shown to you before you confirm anything. Plan terms are set per clinic, so Payong does not publish a single standard rate here.
-
If a payment is missed
Instalments are collected automatically from your saved card. If a charge fails, Payong retries it and contacts you directly — don't ignore that message. Reach out to Payong as soon as you know a payment is going to fail, and settle any missed instalment as soon as you can.
Offer instalments without carrying the credit risk.
Payong settles your clinic upfront and takes on the risk of collecting from the patient over time.
-
Settled upfront
Your clinic receives the bill amount upfront, minus an agreed service fee — not in instalments.
-
No credit risk carried by the clinic
Payong carries the credit risk of the repayment plan, not your clinic. Payong credit-checks and collects from the patient directly.
-

Payong Technologies Sdn. Bhd. is pre-launch: there are currently no live merchants and no live customers. Our application for a consumer credit licence is in progress and has not yet been granted. Nothing on this site should be read as a claim that Payong is currently a licensed or regulated credit provider.
Payong operates a healthcare payment platform: a patient at a hospital or clinic counter scans a QR standee, is credit-checked, and repays the bill in scheduled instalments. The clinic is settled upfront, minus an agreed service fee.
